Mamistad was born to bring pregnant women and new moms together to share the struggles, joys and beauty of motherhood. (In Spanish, Mami means "mommy" and Amistad is friendship"). Though we're based in Viriginia, we have mamis in other states too. :) Women need women! My pregnancy meetup group was invaluable to me when I was pregnant last year, and is now my Mami group and closest circle of friends. I want to help other mamis build a similar support system. Mamistad will create your group of 5-10 Mamis (a close-knit circle of friends) within our larger group (an amazing network of many women).
